Project terms and boundaries.
SystemLens provides read-only diagnostic source, fixtures, and architecture. It is not a repair service and does not make changes to a PC.
The public repository is licensed under MIT. Quod does not currently operate a hosted SystemLens service or distribute a consumer installer.
Release status
SystemLens 0.3.0-showcase is an open-source demo and reference implementation. A future hosted integration would require separate terms, privacy disclosures, authentication, support, and production operations.
Your responsibilities
Use SystemLens only on PCs you own or are authorized to inspect. Keep your Windows account, OpenAI account, pairing codes, and device credentials secure. Review troubleshooting recommendations before acting; SystemLens itself does not change the machine.
Limits of diagnostic evidence
Evidence can be incomplete because of permissions, Windows APIs, timing, hardware support, or a disconnected companion. An unavailable result must not be interpreted as a healthy result. SystemLens reports observations and does not claim that correlation proves causation.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to access another person’s device, bypass limits, extract prohibited personal data, interfere with the service, or misrepresent SystemLens evidence. Do not use it as a security, medical, legal, or emergency service.
Availability and warranty
The source is provided under the MIT License, including its warranty disclaimer. This page does not add a hosted-service promise or imply OpenAI endorsement. Mandatory rights are not excluded where they cannot legally be excluded.
