Disconnect and uninstall
Revoke first. Remove second.
Revoking the paired PC invalidates its backend credential before local software and metadata are removed.
Disconnect and remove
- In SystemLens, revoke the paired PC. This invalidates its backend credential and closes an active session.
- On Windows, stop the companion.
- Run
SystemLens.Companion.exe unpair --yesto remove the DPAPI-protected local credential. - Remove the installed application using Windows Settings once the signed installer is available.
- Delete remaining metadata-only logs under
%LOCALAPPDATA%\SystemLens\logsif desired. - Disconnect SystemLens from ChatGPT to revoke the OAuth grant through the selected identity provider.
Temporary data
Diagnostic snapshots expire automatically and can also be deleted early. Device and account metadata is removed through revocation and the future public account-deletion support flow.
No public installation exists today
These instructions document the release-candidate removal model for readiness and review. The unsigned companion is not distributed from this site.
